RestockNudge is a Shopify app: back-in-stock email alerts for online stores. This page explains what we store, why, and what happens to it.
When a shopper submits the “Notify me” form on a sold-out product on your store, we store:
When we send a restock email, we separately keep a short delivery record: which store and email address it went to, when it was sent, a one-time link token, the product link, whether the send succeeded, and whether the link was clicked. That record exists so the unsubscribe and “take me to the product” links in the email work, and so we can tell if a send failed.
We don’t collect browsing history, analytics, or any data beyond what’s listed above. We don’t process payments — your subscription is billed entirely through Shopify.
Customer emails and the product they asked about exist for exactly one purpose: sending a single notification when that product is back in stock. We send email through Resend, a transactional email provider, acting only on our instructions. Every alert includes an unsubscribe link — clicking it removes that person from every waitlist they joined on your store. We don’t build marketing lists, don’t send anything other than the restock alert a customer explicitly signed up for, and don’t sell or share this data with anyone other than Resend, solely to deliver that email.
RestockNudge implements Shopify’s three mandatory privacy webhooks:
The moment you uninstall RestockNudge, we stop sending restock emails for your store and delete the access credentials for your store. Your customers’ waitlist signups and delivery records are permanently deleted shortly after, once Shopify sends us the shop redaction request described above.
